MSC announces FAK rate increase from Far East to North Europe, Mediterranean & Black Sea

MSC is raising FAK rates from the Far East (including Japan, South Korea, and Southeast Asia) to North Europe, the Mediterranean, and the Black Sea. The new rates take effect on June 1, 2026, and remain valid until further notice, but no later than June 14, 2026. Top rates: $5,650per20ftcontainerand$7,900 per 40ft container.

North Europe – $2,820\mathrm{/}20ft\mathrm{\mid }$4,700 / 40ft
West Mediterranean & Adriatic – $3,750\mathrm{/}20ft\mathrm{\mid }$5,500 / 40ft
East Mediterranean – $3,800\mathrm{/}20ft\mathrm{\mid }$5,400 / 40ft
Black Sea – $3,850\mathrm{/}20ft\mathrm{\mid }$5,500 / 40ft

North Africa (outport destinations) sees even higher rates:

• Algeria – $5,650\mathrm{/}20ft\mathrm{\mid }$7,900 / 40ft

• Tunisia – $5,450\mathrm{/}20ft\mathrm{\mid }$7,500 / 40ft

• Libya – $5,350\mathrm{/}20ft\mathrm{\mid }$7,200 / 40ft
