1. Wide weight range: lightweight spreaders weigh a few tonnes, while large quayside telescopic spreaders can exceed 20 tonnes, requiring matching vehicles and vessel types.

2. Over‑length and over‑width dimensions: when extended, length can exceed 12 metres. Dimensional drawings must be submitted in advance for booking.

3. Asymmetric structure and off‑centre gravity: the centre of gravity must be precisely calculated during lifting and securing.

4. Precision hydraulic telescoping mechanism: improper stress during transport can deform the telescopic beams or damage hydraulic cylinders.

5. Fragile anti‑corrosion coating: the coating is vulnerable to marine salt spray and friction, requiring protective wrapping.

Step 1: Domestic Inland Transport
Clients may either arrange delivery to our designated loading yard themselves or authorise us to provide door‑to‑door pick‑up. We operate a fleet of low‑bed trailers covering major port equipment manufacturing bases nationwide. Based on the spreader's dimensions, we deploy the appropriate vehicle to ensure safe delivery to the loading site.

Step 2: Container Selection + Loading Operations
Based on the spreader's weight and dimensions, we select the right specification of specialised container (flat‑rack, open‑top, etc.). A professional lifting team carries out the loading operation with full‑process monitoring to avoid impact or tilting.

Step 3: Lashing and Securing
All operations comply with shipping line requirements and industry standards.

Our lashing solution:

1. Rubber pads or timber sleepers are placed underneath to increase friction and protect the coating.

2. Fixing points are set at each of the four twistlock positions, with steel wire ropes or lashing straps crossed and secured.

3. The telescopic beams are retracted and locked, with additional lashing straps applied for security.

4. Protective padding is added around precision components such as hydraulic cylinders and telescopic guide rails.

5. The anti‑corrosion coating is wrapped with stretch film or rust‑preventive paper.

6. After the entire container is lashed, photographs are taken for documentation, and a lashing inspection certificate is issued.

Step 4: Port Operations
We submit the heavy‑lift operation plan to the terminal in advance, coordinate handling equipment to ensure smooth delivery of the container to the port. Dedicated supervisors oversee the loading, re‑inspect the lashing condition, and only after confirmation arrange for vessel loading. We also cooperate with customs inspections and assist with clearance procedures.

Step 5: Ocean Freight Booking
Based on the spreader's weight, container specifications, and destination port, we select the most suitable vessel type and route, prioritising shipping lines with proven experience in heavy‑lift transport. Our main cooperating vessel types include: breakbulk / general cargo vessels, multi‑purpose vessels, heavy‑lift vessels, and Ro‑Ro vessels. We cover major ports from China to Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa, South America, and Europe. We also provide recommendations for marine insurance solutions.

Step 6: Destination Delivery
We notify the consignee in advance of the voyage schedule and estimated time of arrival, assist with discharging and customs clearance at the destination port, and coordinate local transport resources for last‑mile delivery. Throughout the process, we provide full tracking of all logistics milestones and keep you updated with real‑time transport status.
