  1. Core components are extremely heavy: a single steam drum can weigh from several dozen to over one hundred tonnes, and the drum length can exceed 20 metres. Multi‑axle trailers are required for transport, and shipping lines must review each item individually before confirming the booking.

  2. Oversized dimensions: boiler steel structural frames, main girders, etc., are over‑length and over‑width. Dimensional drawings of each component must be submitted in advance for booking to confirm deck stowage arrangements.

  3. Numerous component types and complex matching: a single boiler involves hundreds of parts. These must be consolidated at the port, batched and numbered, and shipped in proper sequence to avoid missing or mismatched items.

  4. Pressure parts are vulnerable to impact: steam drums, headers, heating surface panels, etc., have high surface finish requirements, and tube connections are precision‑fitted. Dedicated protection must be provided during transport.

  5. Refractory linings and insulation materials are fragile: some boiler components have refractory linings on the inside or insulation layers on the outside, which can crack or detach if subjected to excessive force or moisture. Weatherproof and moisture‑proof packaging is required.

Based on the dimensions and weight of each disassembled component, we customise the transport solution and manage the entire process from port consolidation to shipment.

Domestic pick‑up → dismantling solution + vessel type matching → lashing and securing → port delivery → ocean freight booking → destination delivery

Step 1: Domestic Inland Transport
Clients may either arrange delivery to our designated port consolidation yard themselves or authorise us to provide door‑to‑door pick‑up. We operate a fleet of low‑bed trailers and multi‑axle trailers covering major boiler manufacturing bases nationwide. Based on component dimensions and weight, we deploy the appropriate vehicle to ensure safe delivery to the consolidation yard.

Step 2: Dismantling Solution + Vessel Type Matching
We develop a dismantling and transport plan based on the boiler model and component list, determining the sequencing of heavy pieces and containerisation of small parts. Based on the dimensions of core components such as steam drums and main girders, we select the appropriate vessel type and draw up a deck stowage plan to ensure a balanced centre of gravity and orderly arrangement.

Step 3: Lashing and Securing
All operations comply with shipping line requirements and industry standards.

Our lashing solution:

  1. Steam drums are stowed horizontally, with curved saddles or timber supports placed underneath to distribute weight. Steel wire ropes with tensioners are symmetrically secured from the front, rear, left, and right.

  2. Over‑length items such as main girders and structural steel columns are laid flat on deck, with multiple layers of timber sleepers to distribute loads, and secured with multiple lashing straps to prevent bending or deformation.

  3. Headers and heating surface panels are packed in flat‑rack containers or dedicated supports, with protective caps fitted over tube ends to prevent impact and ingress of foreign matter.

  4. Small accessories, pipe fittings, and fasteners are packed into separate boxes with cushioning material inside, and labeled with part numbers and destination.

  5. Components with internal refractory linings or external insulation are wrapped with waterproof tarpaulins and treated against rain and moisture.

  6. All components are numbered and labelled, and stowed in accordance with the installation sequence to facilitate sorting at the destination and on‑site assembly.

  7. After the entire vessel is lashed, photographs are taken for documentation, and a lashing inspection certificate is issued.

Step 4: Port Operations
We submit the heavy‑lift operation plan to the terminal in advance, coordinate lifting and handling equipment (cranes, etc.) to ensure smooth delivery of the cargo to the port. Dedicated supervisors oversee the loading, re‑inspect the lashing condition, and only after confirmation arrange for vessel loading. We also cooperate with customs inspections and assist with clearance procedures.

Step 5: Ocean Freight Booking
Based on the dimensions and weight of each component and the destination port, we select the most suitable vessel type and route, prioritising shipping lines with proven experience in heavy‑lift transport. Our main cooperating vessel types include: breakbulk / general cargo vessels, multi‑purpose vessels, and heavy‑lift vessels. We cover major ports from China to Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa, South America, and Europe. We also provide recommendations for marine insurance solutions.

Step 6: Destination Delivery
We notify the consignee in advance of the voyage schedule and estimated time of arrival, assist with discharging and customs clearance at the destination port, and coordinate local transport resources for last‑mile delivery. Throughout the process, we provide a complete component list and tracking of all logistics milestones, keeping you updated with real‑time transport status.
