Forklifts are heavy‑duty powered industrial vehicles, equipped with their own power system, mast and forks. They are compact in structure, with concentrated counterweight and strong manoeuvrability. Their deadweight ranges from a few tonnes to several dozen tonnes. During transport, attention must be paid to centre‑of‑gravity offset, mast securing, and protection of precision components.

• Relatively heavy deadweight: large forklifts weigh over 15 tonnes, and heavy‑duty models can exceed 30 tonnes, requiring transport vehicles with appropriate load‑bearing capacity and an in‑container securing plan.

• Rear‑biased centre of gravity: the counterweight is concentrated at the rear of the vehicle. When loading into a container, it is essential to ensure fore‑and‑aft balance to prevent container tilting or uneven tension in the lashings.

• The mast and forks are moving parts: during transport, the mast must be lowered to its minimum position and locked, and the forks must be independently secured to prevent swinging and impact.

• Smooth tyre contact surfaces: both solid and pneumatic tyres have a low friction coefficient against the container floor, so anti‑shift measures must be taken to prevent sliding inside the container.

• Precision hydraulic and electrical components: cylinder piston rods, pipe joints, and electrical control units are vulnerable to impact and require additional protection.

Step 1: Domestic Inland Transport
Clients may either arrange delivery to our designated loading yard themselves or authorise us to provide door‑to‑door pick‑up. We operate a fleet of low‑bed trailers covering major forklift manufacturing bases nationwide. Based on the forklift's deadweight, we deploy the appropriate vehicle to ensure safe delivery to the loading site.

Step 2: Container Selection + Loading Operations
We select the right specification of specialised container (open‑top, flat‑rack, etc.) according to the forklift's weight and overall dimensions, ensuring that the equipment can be loaded without exceeding the container's payload capacity or dimensional limits. A professional lifting team, using dedicated spreaders, carries out the loading operation with full‑process monitoring to avoid any impact on the mast or forks.

Step 3: Lashing and Securing
All operations comply with shipping line requirements and industry standards.

Our lashing solution:

• After the forklift is driven or lifted into the container and positioned in place, wooden chocks are wedged tightly in front of and behind the tyres as the primary anti‑shift measure.

• The mast is lowered to its minimum position and secured to the container's fixing points with lashing straps to prevent forward tilting.

• The forks are laid flat on the container floor or on dedicated supports, and independently secured with lashing straps to prevent sliding.

• Steel wire ropes or high‑strength lashing straps are symmetrically attached from the four corners of the vehicle body to the container's securing points, with tension adjusted to meet the requirements of the intended voyage area.

• Rubber mats are placed between the bottom of the counterweight and the container floor to increase friction and prevent hard‑contact damage.

• Cylinder piston rods are wrapped with stretch film and fitted with protective padding; electrical control panels and instruments are protected with foam padding.

• After the entire container is lashed, photographs are taken for documentation, and a lashing inspection certificate is issued.

Step 4: Port Operations
We submit the operation plan to the terminal in advance, coordinate lifting and handling equipment (cranes, etc.) to ensure smooth delivery of the container to the port. Dedicated supervisors oversee the loading, re‑inspect the lashing condition, and only after confirmation arrange for vessel loading. We also cooperate with customs inspections and assist with clearance procedures.

Step 5: Ocean Freight Booking
Based on the container specifications and destination port, we select the most suitable vessel type and route, prioritising shipping lines with proven experience in heavy‑lift / specialised container transport. Our main cooperating vessel types include: breakbulk / general cargo vessels, multi‑purpose vessels, heavy‑lift vessels, and Ro‑Ro vessels capable of carrying specialised containers. We cover major ports from China to Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa, South America, and Europe. We also provide recommendations for marine insurance solutions.

Step 6: Destination Delivery
We notify the consignee in advance of the voyage schedule and estimated time of arrival, assist with discharging and customs clearance at the destination port, and coordinate local transport resources for last‑mile delivery. Throughout the process, we provide full tracking of all logistics milestones and keep you updated with real‑time transport status.
